Aylesford is where the industry is
For a village with a medieval bridge and a Carmelite priory, Aylesford works hard. The paper mills that once dominated the riverside have given way to industrial estates full of engineering, manufacturing and wholesale firms. Quarry Wood Industrial Estate off Mills Road, the units along Forstal Road and the trade parks nearby are full of businesses running warehouses, workshops and offices side by side. The Royal British Legion Industries site in the village adds manufacturing of its own. This is unit country, and that is where most of our Aylesford work sits.
Units with an office at the front and a warehouse behind
A typical Aylesford unit is two buildings in one. The front has a reception, a few desks and a meeting room. Behind the door is a warehouse or workshop with its own toilets, a canteen and a locker room for the team. Too many cleaners deal with the front and give the back a quick wipe. We write a schedule that treats both properly.
- Reception, offices and meeting rooms
- Canteens, kitchens and break areas
- Toilets, showers and changing rooms
- Warehouse offices and transport desks
- Hard floors in walkways and welfare areas
Our warehouse cleaning and factory cleaning pages go into the detail.
Shift patterns are not a problem
Plenty of firms on the estates start early and run late. We clean early in the morning, in the evening or at weekends, around your shifts rather than through them. If a site runs past a normal office day, we agree a slot that keeps your people working and the welfare areas fresh for the next shift.
Why Aylesford businesses change cleaners
Welfare areas forgotten
Staff toilets and canteens are what your workforce sees every day. We put them on the schedule and our supervisors check them.
A different face every week
We employ our own cleaners and never send agency staff. The person on your site is someone we know and trained.
Nobody to tell
A comments book on site and regular supervisor inspections mean problems get raised and fixed.
Gaps in cover
Sickness and holidays are our problem, not yours. We cover them.
Short hop from our base
We are based at the Innovation Centre in Chatham, and Aylesford sits just over the downs from us in the Medway valley. Our managers do hands on cleaning themselves, so the people running your contract know the estates and know your building.
Questions from Aylesford site managers
Do you clean the warehouse floor itself?
We focus on the areas people use day to day: offices, welfare areas, walkways and canteens. We will agree exactly what is in scope when we write your cleaning schedule.
Is everything risk assessed?
Yes. We carry out a risk assessment in line with HSE guidance before we start, and we are fully insured. A supervisor is on site for the first clean.
We are a small unit. Is that worth your while?
Contracts start from four hours a week, so a small trade counter or workshop gets the same service as a large distribution site.
Can you take on our existing cleaner?
We have experience of TUPE transfers and will handle the move properly if your cleaning staff are coming across.
