Commercial contract cleaning across Kent and Medway

Commercial cleaning service

Leisure Centres

Regular contract cleaning for leisure centres, carried out by our own employed cleaning teams across Kent and Medway.

Hundreds of bare feet, sweaty hands and wet floors every day

A leisure centre takes more punishment than almost any other building. Members grip the same handles, sit on the same benches and walk barefoot through the same changing rooms from opening until close. Wet floors spread dirt quickly, and a changing room that smells damp or a shower with grime in the corners will lose you members faster than a broken treadmill. People are paying to look after their health. The building has to look like it cares about that too.

Where we put the effort

Changing rooms and showers

Benches, lockers, cubicles, shower areas and floors. This is where members judge you most harshly, so it gets the most attention.

Toilets and washrooms

Cleaned thoroughly and checked on every visit. Busy sites need it done properly, not just sprayed and wiped.

Gym floors and studios

Floors cleaned, mirrors polished, bins emptied and equipment wiped down where you ask us to include it.

Reception, cafe area and offices

The first and last thing members see, plus the staff rooms, kitchens and offices behind the desk.

Germs spread fast where people sweat

Shared equipment, warm damp air and bare skin give bacteria every chance they need. We use bactericides that kill MRSA, and our cleaners follow a colour coding system for mops, buckets and cloths so the cloth used in the toilets never ends up on the reception desk. Each area has its own equipment, used only there.

Cleaning around your timetable

Leisure centres open early and close late. We clean before the first swimmers arrive, after the last class finishes, or at weekends. Where your site is open long hours and there is no quiet window, we will talk through a plan with you that keeps cleaners out of the way of members while still getting the job done.

Before we start, we carry out a risk assessment of your building in line with HSE guidance. Wet areas, plant rooms and stairs all need thinking about, and our cleaners work to that assessment from day one.

The people doing the work

Every cleaner on your site is employed by us. Not agency, not subcontracted. They are vetted, trained in house, in uniform and fully insured, and each one signs a confidentiality agreement. If your cleaner is off sick or on holiday, we arrange the cover, so a bank holiday weekend does not leave your changing rooms untouched.

Keeping standards where you want them

  • A written cleaning schedule for your building, area by area
  • A supervisor on site for your very first clean
  • Regular supervisor inspections
  • A comments book on site for your duty managers
  • Managers who still do hands on cleaning themselves

Smaller sports clubs and community run halls are welcome too. If that sounds more like your building, have a look at our community centre cleaning page.

Questions from leisure and gym managers

Do you clean the swimming pool itself?

No. Pool water treatment is a specialist job for your plant team. We clean the poolside surrounds where you include them, along with changing rooms, showers and everything else around them.

Can we include window cleaning?

Yes. Window cleaning is available to every regular contract customer, which helps with the big glazed frontages many leisure buildings have.

Is there a minimum?

Contracts start from four hours a week. A small gym or club fits in just as well as a large leisure centre.
