Commercial contract cleaning across Kent and Medway

Commercial cleaning service

Churches

Regular contract cleaning for churches, carried out by our own employed cleaning teams across Kent and Medway.

A church is rarely used for just one thing. Sunday services, weddings, funerals, toddler groups, choir practice and the coffee morning all happen under the same roof. Each one leaves its own mess, and the people who come in on Monday deserve a building that feels cared for.

Old buildings need careful hands

Stone floors, carved wood, memorial plaques, brass and old pews are not cleaned the way you clean a modern office. Heavy chemicals and careless scrubbing do lasting damage. Our cleaners are trained in house to take a gentle approach in older buildings, and your written cleaning schedule sets out what is cleaned, how, and what is left well alone. If something is fragile or valuable, tell us and it goes in the schedule.

More than the nave

Most of the cleaning a church needs happens away from the altar. The hall, the kitchen and the toilets are where volunteers struggle to keep up.

  • Nave, aisles and pews, dusted and floors swept or mopped
  • Porch and entrance, where most of the dirt comes in
  • Church hall and meeting rooms
  • Kitchen used for refreshments and community events
  • Toilets and washrooms
  • Vestry and parish office

Taking the load off your volunteers

Many churches rely on a rota of willing volunteers to keep the building clean. It works until someone moves away, falls ill or simply runs out of energy. A regular contract means the cleaning is done whether the rota holds up or not, and your volunteers can spend their time on the things only they can do.

Built around the church calendar

We clean early in the morning, in the evening or at weekends, so we fit around services, rehearsals and bookings. If there is a funeral on Friday or a wedding on Saturday, the schedule can work around it.

Spending the parish budget well

Only the hours you need

Contracts start from four hours a week. We plan the time around how your building is actually used.

No gaps to fill

We cover sickness and holidays ourselves, so the churchwardens are not left with a mop.

Trusted people

Our own employees, vetted by us and in uniform. Every one signs a confidentiality agreement.

Standards that stay put

Regular supervisor inspections and a comments book on site, so the PCC can see the job is being done.

Questions from churchwardens and parish administrators

Can you clean the church hall as well as the church?

Yes. Halls, meeting rooms and kitchens are part of most church contracts. If your hall is run as a separate venue, see how we look after community centres.

Our building is listed. Will you damage anything?

We agree the methods and products with you before we start, put them in your written schedule and send a supervisor for the first clean to make sure it is done right.

Can you clean the windows?

Window cleaning is available to all our regular contract customers. Stained glass and anything delicate is agreed with you first.

Are you insured?

We are fully insured and carry out a risk assessment of your building in line with HSE guidance.
